Dating back about 400 years, and above all, the historic building of Hotel Grüne Tanne was once a knight’s manor. This cultural town has one of the finest museums in the world about Martin Luther, very much appreciated, while the Luther memorials have UNESCO World Heritage status. The historic town of Wittenberg is a short drive away from Hotel Grüne Tanne and has strong connections with Martin Luther and the Protestant Reformation.

Area information The historic town centre of Wittenberg can be reached by car in just a few minutes. The attractive region of Fläming is equally close by, and is ideal for hiking, cycling or for horse-drawn carriage rides. Roam around the Düben Heath or visit the wonderful Wörlitzer Park - there is much to see and experience in and around Wittenberg. Potsdam, Berlin and Leipzig can also be reached by car within an hour. Following an eventful day, take a walk through our beautiful old park. From our restaurant terrace you can enjoy a wonderful view while you dine.
