Rooms

We offer 40 single rooms. They have an en suite bathroom and are equipped with all common facilities. They have a size of roughly 18 m² and a spacious bed (2.10 x 1.20 m). We offer 37 tastefully decorated double rooms. They have either a classical or a modern style. All rooms have an en suite bathroom and are equipped with all common facilities. They have a size of 24 - 28 m². In some rooms the beds can be separated. The double rooms can also be booked for single use.

Hotel details

The Schlosshotel Monrepos is situated in the extensive parkland, directly on the charming Monrepos lake. Built between 1760 and 1803 in a baroque style from Duke Carl Eugen and Friedrich I, the castle is only 2 minutes walk from the hotel. The splendour and brilliance of times gone by can be enjoyed today at various celebrations and gala dinners. Unfortunately there are no hotel rooms available in the castle. 80 rooms and suites (120 beds) all of them have a beautiful view and are equipped with bath, shower, colour TV, Pay-TV, telephone, blow dryer, radio, free mini bar, alarm clocks, digital or analog system, fax by request. 11 different Conference and Banquet rooms (10-180 people). Stylish rooms for festive dinner parties or seminars. In the old castle festivities of all kind are possible. Ideal for incentives of all sorts. Screens, lecterns, microphone system, boards, flip charts, overhead- and slide projectors, colour TV and videorecorder, PC, printer EURO-ISDN, fax-, copy- and typeservice, video conferencing, simultan translator system.

Food & Beverages

The stylish, historical and recently renovated Restaurant "Gutsschenke" offers an extensive gastronomic menu in comfortable surroundings. In Summer you can enjoy a meal on the terrace, under the chestnut trees. The regional and international dishes are perfectly and imaginatively prepared. The dishes on offer are prepared with market-fresh ingredients and are designed to make the most of the particular season's produce. Exquisite regional and international wines are available to accompany your meal. Open from 11:00 - 24:00 daily.

Wireless Internet Hotspot is available in the entire hotel and costs EUR 8.00 per hour.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled or modified up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled or modified later, 80 percent of the first night will be charged.  In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

VAT is included.  Service charge is included.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast is not included and costs EUR 14.00 per person. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 10 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All older children or adults are charged EUR 30.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 1.  Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 2.
