The Hotel Monopol is centrally located with partial views of the lake. Located next to the railway station, business and shopping areas and built in 1898 in new baroque style, the 73 renovated rooms provide comfortable accommodation. The hotel also has rooms for seminars, conferences and banquets for up to 90 people, as well as technical equipment.

Food & Beverages

As the hotel is situated right in the heart of Lucerne, next to the train station, there are numerous varieties for having drink, lunch, coffee or dinner.

Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel and costs CHF 10.00 per hour.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 16:00 on the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

3.6 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  CHF 2.45 city/tourist tax per person per night is not included. 

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 6 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All children from 7 to 12 years are charged 25 % of the room stay per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.

When booking more than 6 rooms, different policies and additional supplements may apply.
