Rooms

We offer elegantly designed rooms and one suite, which were completely refurbished in February 2007. The rooms offer modern features and amenities, such as wooden floors, an integrated colour concept, flat screen TVs and ceiling fans. We offer non-smoking rooms only. Not only the rooms, but the whole building is equipped with the latest generation of fire and smoke detectors.

Hotel details

The "White Cross" is one of the oldest hotels in Lucerne, already mentioned in records from the year 1495. Since the early 17th century the location of the hotel has been Furrengasse 19. To all car drivers: You are allowed to park your car in front of the hotel entrance during the check-in and -out. After that, we please you to park it either in the blue/white zone (tickets at the hotel reception), in the parking garage Kesselturm or the parking garage at the railway station. Regarding the parking garages we advise you to turn your ticket - right after buying it - into a long stay ticket (seasonal ticket), so the ticket is getting cheaper.

Food & Beverages

Breakfast is served from 07:00 to 10:00 in our restaurant. Recently the Ristorante/Pizzeria (open from 11:00 to 23:00) was elegantly redecorated and enlarged. 130 comfortable seats are now available. Throughout summertime 40 seats at the romantic patio in the small alleyway complete our beautiful facilities. Our elegantly redesigned non-smoking restaurant Chrüzli&Lounge offers 28 seats and can also be exclusively offered for groups and parties.

Internet

Wired internet is available in the entire hotel and is free of charge.  Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel and is free of charge. 

Parking

Public parking is possible at a location nearby (reservation is not possible) and charges are applicable. 

Pets

Pets are allowed. Charges may be applicable.

Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later, the first night will be charged.  In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

3.6 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  CHF 3.40 city/tourist tax per person per night is not included. 

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 5 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years are charged CHF 10.00 per stay for cots.  There is no capacity for extra beds in the room.  Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1.
