St Simeon

The st Simeon hotel is an inexpensive bed and breakfast hotel ideal for the budget conscious traveller or business person. A budget bed and breakfast hotel located in the heart of South Kensington. Please note that the the hotel caters for the budget traveller and provides basic bed and breakfast facilities. St Simeon itself is located in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Visitors appreciate the hotel does not have its own car parking facilities but there are meters nearby and Pay Car Parks all within five minutes walk of the hotel. A good quality English breakfast is provided. The Hotel is located in the Central London Zone 1 and is within easy reach of the theatres, highly regarded, nightlife and all of London’s vibrant shopping areas. If using Pay and Display Parking please read the accompanying notes on the meter! They do vary in areas of London. St Simeon has a nonsmoking policy.

Rooms

There are 26 rooms of varying sizes and shapes. Most of the rooms feature original features such as high ceilings, cornices and period Georgian windows. Rooms are decorated in pastel shades with deep carpeting and one or two armchairs. Beds have cotton sheets, with extra blankets in the cupboard. The bathrooms are tiled throughout and each one has a bidet.

The hotel still retains many attractive original features, including high ceilings, large windows, pillars and decorative cornices. The period-style décor and furnishings are combined with modern lighting and rich fabrics. Complimentary newspapers are available in the hotel’s lobby. Multilingual staff at the front desk can provide room service (limited hours) and arrange dry-cleaning services and airport transfers on request (at an additional cost).

Area information The hotel has a great location close to some of London's most popular shops. The convenient location and good access to the capital’s public transport network makes it a good base for sightseeing, shopping and entertaining. There is a wide selection of bars and restaurants within a very short walk and there are supermarkets, pharmacies, banks, money-exchange facilities and much more within a 5-minute walk. Travel information By public transport: St Simeon is located near Glouvester Road Undergorund station which is on the District and Piccadilly Lines. On leaving the station turn right out of the exit then walk along Gloucester Road and take the second street on the right, Harrington Gardens and we are located at number 38. If travelling from Heathrow Airport to Gloucester Road Take the Piccadilly Line on the underground from the airport terminals to Gloucester Road, or if you prefer you can take one of the Hotel Link shuttles, which will drop you at the Hotel for a cost of about 14.00, you can book these at the airport From Gatwick Airport to Gloucester Road Take the Gatwick Express to Victoria this is approx 12.00 one-way. Then take the District Line on the underground to Gloucester Road. From Stansted Airport to Gloucester Road Take the Stansted Express to Liverpool Street station this is approx 13.00 one way, then take the Circle line on the underground to Gloucester Road From Luton Airport to Gloucester Road Take the train from Luton to Kings Cross, this costs approx 11.00 one-way. At Kings Cross transfer to the underground and take the Piccadilly Line to Gloucester Road. From Waterloo Station to Gloucester Road At the station get on to the underground, you can take the Jubilee Line to Westminster and then change to the District Line and take the District Line to Gloucester Road
