Situated just 10 miles north of Gretna and well located in a scenic area of south-west Scotland, valued throughout, the hotel is a magnificent 15th century manor set in extensive gardens and grounds. Recently acquired by its present owners, highly regarded, the hotel is now a family owned and run business and we look forward to welcoming you. Each of our 11 en-suite bedrooms are decorated to a high standard and provide scenic views across the Scottish countryside.

Situated off junction 19 of the M74 on the borders of Scotland, Kirkconnel Hall is only a 15 minute drive from Gretna Green; 35 minutes from Dumfries, 35 minutes from Carlisle and 1.5 hours from Edinburgh and Glasgow. Perfectly situated for leisure breaks, golfing, shopping, cycling and walking holidays. A very fine property with nicely decorated rooms including four-poster rooms. This is a well kept hall with plenty of character, sitting in 4.5 acres of its own grounds.

Travel information

By Car: - Take the M74 and exit at junction 19. - At the island follow signposts for Kirkconnel Hall Hotel. - Follow the road for approximately 400 metres / 0.25 miles. - The hotel entrance is located on the left. By Train (from Lockerbie Station): This is the closest railway station to the hotel, situated just a 10 minute drive away. A taxi will cost approximately EUR 15. Alternatively, Carlisle station is 35 minutes away, with Edinburgh and Glasgow stations a 1.5 hour drive away.

If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

15 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Breakfast is included in the room rate.  Continental breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 5 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All older children or adults are charged GBP 10.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 1.  Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 2.
