Visitors appreciate the hotel is sited in a unique position between the spectacular River Dee, valued throughout, with it's racing white water and leaping salmon, and the Llangollen canal that begins it's life just a short walk away at the Horseshoe Falls. Situated on the banks of the River Dee, highly regarded, about 3 minutes walk away are the Horseshoe Falls, the source of the famous Thomas Telford Shropshire Union Canal which also runs alongside the Hotel. In a valley of serene and natural beauty shielded by the Berwyn and Eglwysig mountains. The Restaurant affords a romantic and magnificent panoramic view over the River. Whilst on the opposite bank steam trains pass every hour. The Tudor Bar is situated in the original building and has black and white timbers, and above all, with its Inglenook fireplace where you can also sit and watch the fishermen fish the river.

Named Riverside Bar and Restaurant, you can just guess what is directly outside the large windows. Enjoy spectacular views, which are lit at night, excellent food at modest prices, and a really friendly, personal service. A table d'hôte menu and bar snacks are available from 12:00, daily.
