Area information The Altis Park Hotel is located 9 minutes and 5 subway stations from Parque das Nações. Apart from Parque das Nações and the International Exhibition Centre (FIL), there are other services and leisure activities as well, such as: The Oceanário de Lisboa's Nautical Centre, located in Doca dos Olivais, promotes close contact with the water through various nautical activities. The Lisbon Oceanarium visitors will never cease to be amazed as they journey through Europe's largest Oceanarium. Inhabited by 15,000 animals and plants representing over 450 different species, and reconstituting various of the oceans' ecosystems, the Oceanarium offers visitors a unique and enchanting experience. The Cable Car ride offers the widest and most spectacular view of Parque das Nações and the Tagus River, covering a distance of over 1 km. The Knowledge Pavilion is the science and technology interactive centre that regularly presents a series of different exhibitions that provide visitors with direct contact with a highly diversified range of scientific and technological experiences. Several buses will take you to the city centre and the historical quarters, such as Bairro Alto, Madragoa and Alfama. The historical Belém can be reached by subway and the old-fashioned tram number 15.
