Originally built in 1770 as a local banker’s house, the Fürstenhof has been used as a hotel since the beginning of the 20th century. It has developed into one of the leading hotels in the city and, following extensive renovation, re-opened in 1996 as a 5-star Superior hotel. The elegant ambience of the building, enhanced by marble, golden-framed arched doorways, high ceilings and large windows, gives the hotel the air of a patrician’s palace. Attentive service and superior gastronomy within elegant surroundings will take you back to the grandeur of the past. For private functions or business meetings, the hotel offers 3 superior conference rooms. The 94m² Opal lounge can be divided into 3 smaller individual lounges. The Rubinsaal offers space for approximately 100 guests. Its foyer opens out into the picturesque courtyard and can be used for hosting receptions. The Serpentinsaal provides a backdrop worthy of very special occasions. It was originally built in 1865 and has since been authentically restored. This unique hall is fitted with the so-called ‘marble of the Saxon kings’, and represents a real treasure of art history.

Villers restaurant: The warm and sunny atmosphere of an 18th-century drawing room provides the perfect setting for the extraordinary culinary delights served in this restaurant. The head chef, Boris P. Weiland, is a fan of Grande Cuisine combined with fresh produce, and has already received many awards for his creations. The hotel sommelier is always on hand to recommend top wines from the well-stocked wine cellar, which houses up to 200 select varieties. Wintergarten piano bar & conservatory: The comfortable chairs in the conservatory allow you to relax with a digestif, an aperitif, lunch, snacks, cocktails, or traditional afternoon tea. In the evenings, guests are able to converse against a backdrop of softly lilting piano music. Vinothek 1770 wine bar: Over 170 fine wines from all over the world are served in the stylish setting of the Vinothek 1770. You can also order by the glass. A range of antipasti and olive specialities from Italy, Spanish ham and French cheese rounds off this unconventional concept. On balmy summer evenings, you can watch Leipzig's vibrant nightlife from the wine bar terrace.

If cancelled or modified up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled or modified later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast is not included and costs EUR 24.00 per person. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 12 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All older children or adults are charged EUR 40.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
