Our 436 modern and tastefully furnished rooms offer a comfortable place of calm in the middle of the city. In addition to the listed amenities all soundproofed rooms have marble bathrooms and voice mail. For the rooms located above the 10th floor a breathtaking view over the beautiful city of Leipzig is guaranteed. The suites were entirely refurbished, using selected fabrics in warm colours and sophisticated technical equipment in order to create a harmonious ambience in Bauhaus style. Extravagant bathrooms in black granite and lots of glass, stainless steel and playful elements of light, create an elegant image. In addition you can enjoy a view from the balcony over the historic city centre.

Hotel details

This skyscraper from 1981 is almost 100m high and was built within 2.5 years. It was opened as Hotel Merkur and renamed Hotel Intercontinental in 1993. Since 2003 it has been part of the Starwood Gruppe under the name The Westin Leipzig. An extensive renovation in 2005 brought a fresh and brand new design to this building. Our facilities include 33 conference rooms with 1400 m² in total including a ballroom dance floor of 606 m². The Boardroom on 27th floor offers even more space for meetings, conferences and functions. All conference rooms offer sophisticated technical equipment, wireless LAN, air conditioning and daylight.

Food & Beverages

Whether you want a 7-course menu at the Gourmet Restaurant Falco or a quick snack at the Shinto Bar & Lounge, the Westin Leipzig caters to every palate. The Gourmet Restaurant Falco is located on the 27th floor. Look forward to its excellent culinary creations from Tuesdays to Saturdays, and enjoy its stunning views of Leipzig’s old quarter. In 2007/2008, this Michelin-starred restaurant was awarded the title Restaurant of the Year by the Der Feinschmecker magazine. The top-class Seasons restaurant offers international cross-over cuisine featuring European and Asian influences. The Yamato Japanese restaurant will spoil you with masterfully prepared sushi. The Shinto Bar & Lounge opposite the reception is perfect for quick snacks, coffee to go, or refreshing cocktails.

Please note that the gourmet restaurant Falco will be closed from 21 December 2008 until 12 January 2009.

Internet

Wired internet is available in the hotel rooms and charges are applicable.  Wireless internet is available in public areas and charges are applicable. 

Parking

Public parking is possible on site and costs EUR 18.00 per day. 

Pets

Pets are allowed on request. Charges may be applicable.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled or modified up to 18:00 on the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled or modified later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

VAT is included.  Service charge is included.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast is not included and costs EUR 18.00 per person. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 12 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years are charged EUR 35.00 per night and person for cots.  All older children or adults are charged EUR 35.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
