WHO WE ARE Tenuta Monacelli, situated towards north-east from Lecce, is a structure that sinks its roots in the ancient tradition of the cultivation of olives to which has been joined, during the time, organic cultivation of natural products. The flourishing agricultural activity has been flanked today by farm-holidays. Thanks to the restoration of an ancient tower of XV century, enriched with all comforts, Tenuta Monacelli allows its guests to enjoy a very relaxing stay in a unique scenary at only few hundred metres from the sea. Joined to the farm-holidays you can find “Il Rifugio del Re” (The King’s Shelter), an exclusive restaurant in which you can taste traditional dishes made with natural products of the farm , that can be enjoyed in a place rich of atmosphere and quiet, to give satisfaction not only to your palate but to your eyes too. And what’s more, the owners’ passion for the particular breed of dog “corso”, enriched the estate with a dog-farm of these unique animals. RESTAURANT "Il Rifugio del Re": our restaurant. Richness of natural beauties responds to richness of the tastes that rural tradition handed down to us and that our chefs, Emanuele and Giampiero, re-elaborate with great skill to transform every meal in a regal, unique moment to be tasted in a natural setting pointed out by a refined atmosphere. Products are cultivated biologically and come from the estate’s farm, as for the poultry, and are cooked, with the same attention to the tradition, in new forms and in new combinations. It is possible to taste excellent sweet, too. A long list of national and international wines, preserved in the ancient underground olive-press, today a precious wine-cellar, allows to find the best match in order to exalt even more the courses. Three rooms inside contain 120 seats, while outside wide yards allow to enjoy the fascination of summer nights. Here simplicity and refinement live in harmony with taste.

Area information FARM-HOLIDAYS Tenuta Monacelli is an ancient fortified “masseria”, a large rural house, of XV century. Situated in an very old olive-grove of 200 hectares, full of age-old trees and surronded by a wood, in its borders you can find the old masseria Giampaolo with its ancient olive-press constructed underground. It’s the ideal place to spend your time in contact with nature, enjoyng the variety of natural beauties that this land offers to the one who allows himself to be seduced by the slow and deep passing of time typical of rural life. Farm-holidays is the part of the structure evoluted by the old olive-growing and offers some ideas to live moments of relax in every time of the year. You can take part to all the activities linked to the olive-growing and to the production of oil (harvest, press...) or you can spend your time picking mushrooms and truffles in the nearest wood, or to make wonderful walks, rides or excursions by montain bikes, that are available for the guests, to reach the near sea or the natural park of Rauccio. And after all you can relax in the comfort of the rooms furnished with fine taste and attention to details, all the rooms are air-conditioned, and provided with tv color and bathroom, in order to make your stay even more pleasant. You can choose among overnight stay and breakfast, half-board and full-board. A bus service has been provided from Brindisi’s airport and port and from Lecce’s train station.
