Hotel details

The hotel Schützen has its own bus stop so you do not even have to walk (3 minutes) to the station, if you do not want to. No other hotel in the village has this advantage. Another advantage are the various possibilities for returning to the hotel. From Grindelwald you can either ski back or take the train. From Mürren it is possible to ski back to the hotel or to take the cable car from Grütschalp or Stechelberg.

Food & Beverages

Especially in the winter the restaurant with its open fireplace offers a relaxing and homely, typical Swiss atmosphere. In summer you enjoy superb views from the garden terrace towards the mountains. For breakfast you can select from an extensive buffet with many local specialities. In the evening you can either have the 3-course half board menu or choose delicious Swiss dishes à la carte. Breakfast buffet is served from 08:00 - 10:00. Half-board evening meals are served from 18:00 to 20:30.

In winter the reception is open from 16:00 to 21:00. Please contact the hotel if you intend to arrive after 21:00. The hotel reserves the right to pre-authorise your credit card before arrival. For payments with credit card, an additional commission of 1.5% will be charged.

Wireless internet is available in public areas and is free of charge.

Free public parking is possible on site.

Pets are allowed on request. Charges may be applicable.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 30 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled up to 14 days before date of arrival, 50 percent of all nights will be charged.  If cancelled up to 3 days before date of arrival, 70 percent of all nights will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, 90 percent of all nights will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

3.6 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  CHF 3.00 city/tourist tax per person per night is not included. 

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast costs CHF 18.00 per person. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 6 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years are charged CHF 20.00 per night and person for cots.  All older children or adults are charged CHF 50.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 5.  Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1.
