Area information With the lower town and the upper town, the hill-top medieval city of Laon is built on a 2000 metre hill surrounded by ramparts. Pass through the fortifications and go back in time to the Middle Ages. Be dazzled by the magnificence of the cathedral built in the early Gothic period.
