Area information The Borecka Forest is one of the largest forests in north-east Poland. It is the home for various animal species: European bizon, eagle and many other unique birds, wolf, deer, stag, fox, lynx, pine marten and many others. The forest are rich in fruit like cranberries, bilberries and blackberries. 3 kilometres from Lake Gołdopiwo (the cleanest lake in the entire district). Giżycko is approximately 16 kilometres away and Węgorzewo is approximately 18 kilometres. Travel information To reach Giżycko, you have to go in the direction of Węgorzewo. After driving 8 kilometres, you will reach the junction of roads leading to Giżycko - Kruklanki - Węgorzewo. Turn right in the direction of Kruklanki. After passing by this village, you head in the direction of Banie Mazurskie. After 3 kilometres, you pass by the village of Brożówka at your left hand side. After 1,500 metres, turn right on the sandy road going through the field, and continue on this path for 2.5 kilometres until approaching the Borecka Forest. Do not enter the forest, but turn left in front of it. Drive straight on into the farm (approximately 100 metres).
