Only cross the street for entering the old Jewish Kazimierz district where you can find on the market square a lot of cosy restaurants and pubs. On working days you'll find here a market with local food and other items. The district has a lot of (small) galleries with original art and old fashioned (work)shops: furriers, carpenters, tailors, stained glass artists are selling their products, but for how long these small shops will exist, is unsure as the Polish market is also flooded by cheap Chinese products ...
You'll also find places where you can rent a bike for exploring more of Cracow.
It is also a very convenient place to start an excursion to Auschwitz, the Wieliczka salt mines, or the characteristic geological formations such as the national
nature parks Jura, Pieniny or Tatra.
