The Inselhotel has an impressive history. The 13th-century frescos in the cloister of the former Dominican Monastery reflect the building's great past. Today all the hotel rooms have modern and first-class furnishings with a luxurious ambience, however, they differ in size and location. The heritage building has a few rooms with small balconies. The Steigenberger Inselhotel offers you a theatre-box view of Lake Constance with its unique location on a small private island. Situated next to the public park and the port, with a short bridge connecting the hotel to the town centre

Food & Beverages

The cuisine of the "See-Restaurant" and the "Dominikanerstube" is, with their regional and international specialities, among the best on Lake Constance. A bar, café and summer terrace make this gastronomic offer complete. Seerestaurant The sophisticated "Seerestaurant" with a view over Lake Constance offers contemporary, light, international and seasonal cuisine. Dominikanerstube Regional specialities are served in the comfortable, Swiss pine-wood panelled "Dominikanerstube". Seeterrasse The "Seeterrasse" - a theatre box overlooking Lake Constance - serves light lunches, coffee, cakes and ice-cream specialities, romantic dinners - or simply a fresh local draught beer - Rothaus-Pils. Zeppelin-Bar The comfortable "Zeppelin Bar", formerly the sacristy of the monastery church and later the birthplace of Graf Ferdinand von Zeppelin, is the ideal place to round off the evening.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled or modified up to 16:00 on the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled or modified later or in case of no-show, 80 percent of the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

19 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  EUR 1.50 city/tourist tax per person per night is not included. 

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate.  Dinner costs EUR 38.00 per person. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 6 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All older children or adults are charged EUR 45.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 2.
