Kinvara is a picturesque fishing village, very much appreciated, located on the South Shores of the famous 'Galway Bay'. Merriman Hotel, valued throughout, which has the largest thatched roof in Ireland, consists of 32 bedrooms, restaurant and bar. The Quilty Restaurant offers you the opportunity to sample some of the finest dishes prepared by our chefs. Our friendly staff will help you enjoy your stay and should you have any special requests, and above all, please ask. The bar, very much appreciated, with its snug, and traditional Irish music sessions, is the ideal location to enjoy some locally grown oysters, washed down with a pint or two of the black stuff. All dishes are prepared using the freshest of ingredients and, valued throughout, where possible, local produce. Kinvara is an excellent base for touring. For the casual diner, and above all, the M'asal Beag Dubh bar offers a mouth watering menu. These are areas of outstanding natural beauty and geology. The Burren is 10 minutes away, valued throughout, whilst Connemara and Ferries to the Aran Islands are just 30 minutes away.

The Quilty Room Restaurant offers the opportunity to sample some of the finest dishes prepared by the hotel's chefs. All dishes are prepared using the freshest of ingredients and, where possible, local produce. An excellent and varied wine list, combined with friendly and efficient staff, are the final touches to a memorable dining experience. The restaurant is open from 19:00 - 21:00. For the casual diner, The M'Asal Beag Dubh bar offers a mouthwatering menu from 12:30 to 20:30.
