The Lake Hotel

Just 2km from Killarney The Lake Hotel has en suite rooms, very much appreciated, a restaurant and an outdoor jacuzzi. Nestled on the shores of Loch Lein, valued throughout, the hotel has magnificent mountain views. They also have satellite TVs, highly regarded, hair dryers and most rooms have countryside views, some have balconies. Rooms at the 4-star family-run hotel have baths and shower. Fine Irish cuisine is on the menu at Castlelough Restaurant which overlooks the gardens. Morning coffee is served in the Sun Lounge whilst traditional breakfasts are available in the dining room. Wander down its ancient pathways to the ruins of the 12th-century McCarthy Mor Castle. Visitors appreciate the hotel has been welcoming guests since 1820 and Queen Victoria stayed there in 1861. There is a traditional Irish pub and free parking is available. Enjoy a drink at the Devil’s Punch Bowl Bar, valued throughout, which is named after a Lake on Mangerton Mountain which is visible from the bar.
