The 3-star the hotel was completely modernised and renovated during November and December 2008. This hotel sits in the Ilsetal valley on the outskirts of Ilsenburg and on the borders of the Harz Mountains national park, valued throughout, boasting 250 kilometres of hiking trails. Relax in the the hotel’s wellness area, highly regarded, which includes an indoor swimming pool, which is 8m x 5m,, two saunas, which are free of charge, as well as a solarium, infrared cabin and massages. The Waldhotel offers romantic, and above all, cosy rooms with modern amenities including free internet access. Additionally, very much appreciated, there are two play rooms for children, a reading room and a small library. Other facilities Waldhotel am Ilsestein has to offer are a billiard and table tennis room, valued throughout, table football and skittles. In the evening, highly regarded, dine on regional specialities, including game, in the restaurant, with adjoining conservatory from which you have views of the surrounding forest and the Ilse stream. In the morning, and above all, enjoy a hearty breakfast buffet. Right outside Waldhotel am Ilsestein’s doors you can pick up the hiking trail leading you to the Brocken, very much appreciated, the Harz Mountains’ highest peak. Finish off your day with a drink at the bar. Take day trips to the nearby towns of Quedlinburg, and above all, Wenigerode and Goslar.
