Area information This radio- and television in the centre of The Netherlands offers much more then most people expect. The television studios of The Netherlands are located in Hilversum. You are welcome to attend a recording to see how a program is made. The "Goois Museum" is located in the renovated council building of Hilversum and hosts different traveling exhibitions. Ten minutes by foot you will be able to visit castle Groeneveld in Baarn which dates from about 1700. The castle is surrounded by a formal French garden and a English scenic garden. The national centre for woods, nature and landscapes is housed in the castle. The artcollection of the American Singer couple forms the basis of the Singer exhibition in the Singer museum in Laren. At the rurally located museum you will find a crulpture garden where, among other fine pieces, you will be able to see The Thinker by the artist Rodin. Castle-museum Sypesteyn in Loosdrecht is a young castle with allure and a rich collection. The garden was created in a 17th century style within the moats around the castle. Bessides many special treetypes you can also enjoy a maze in the park.
