Informal, very much appreciated, relaxed atmosphere, neat yet simple family bedrooms, bathroom in the hall near your room, which is there is 1 room with a private bathroom, which is also slightly more expensive, . Bed and breakfast in a characteristic 100 year old villa located on a beautiful estate, valued throughout, in the middle of the medieval forest of the nature reserve "het Leudal" in the middle of the province Limburg, which is 30 minutes from Eindhoven, 15 minutes from Roermond and Weert, . This is a hospitable family-run hotel where the guest is still the guest and where time seems to have stood still. The focus is on the design of the various living rooms and meeting rooms on the ground floor.

Rooms

There is one hotel room with its own sanitary facilities; the price is a little higher than the family rooms. The family rooms are small but clean and share the bathrooms. The family rooms can accommodate 2 to 4 persons.

Hotel details

Only about 15 minutes from Roermond and Weert. De Villa is located in a beautiful park, with big terraces, free parking places, and a familiar and informal atmosphere. There are several sitting areas each with its own bar, which groups can use. During the week there are often meetings and workshops going on and in the weekend we receive groups for recreational purposes. We also have an extensive activities program. The mansion was originally built as a summerhouse for the world famous professor Dubois, who used the grounds to build a monumental bat tower, ice basement and owl tower. After his death the house was used as a spa, since 1995 the villa is being used as a group hotel/conference center/bed and breakfast.

Food & Beverages

Villa de Bedelaar is well known in this region and the breakfast is extensive. For the evening meal for groups there is an extensive menu, ranging from a generous 3-course menu to a culinary 4-course surprise menu and buffets or a BBQ/ table grill are also possible. Naturally groups need to reserve in advance. For individual guests we can often reserve a table in our other hotel-restaurant Houtse Hendrik (from the same owner), 9 minutes from here.

Please notice that the check in time is from 16.00 till 22.30. If you check in after this time their will be extra costs. Please give an indication of arrival in your reservation form.

Area information Villa de Bedelaar is located in to a gorgeous park, in the middle of the estate de Bedelaar. The nearest village is Heythuysen (2 km), the city Roermond is 8 minutes, Weert is 15 minutes and Eindhoven and Maastricht are 30 minutes away by car. Nearby you'll find the national parks Meinweggebied and Groote Peel. Also there are a large number of walking and bicycle paths and other activities in the area. Travel information Tip: if you are using a navigation system fill in "Heythuysen" as the destination instead of Haelen! Villa de Bedelaar is located on the N279 between Heythuysen and Horn. Via A2 : Eindhoven- Maastricht, exit 41 towards Venlo (N273), at the traffic lights follow the direction Heythuysen (Hornerheide) on the left, after 2 km you will find the Villa on the rightside in the woods. Via A73: Nijmegen-Maastricht, it becomes the N273, at the traffic lights follow the direction Heythuysen (Hornerheide) on the right, after 2 km you will find the Villa on the rightside in the woods. Villa de Bedelaar has its own bus stop (line 73 from Roermond towards Deurne).
