The main building of Joops Hotel boasts a stunning array of antiques from all over the world. The Arendshoek was completely renovated in April of 2006 and now boasts Twin Studios, which is 2 guests, en Triple and Quadruple Studios which all feature their own kitchenette.

Rooms

All the rooms in the main building are either doubles or twins and feature private en suite bathrooms with a bathtub or shower, toilet and hairdryer. Rooms have cable TV and telephones. Rooms in the side building are the same as above except hairdryer are only available on request and there is no telephone. Internet is available, free of charge, in the hotel lobby for all guests.

The De Gouverneur (The Governor) bar is a popular destination for hotel guests and the public alike, where you will be able to enjoy a friendly and warm ambience, whilst having a small bite to eat or savouring, among others, one of the many authentic Dutch and Belgium beers on tap. Since January 2007, the Pasta Pasta restaurant has been a part of Joops Hotel. It is an Italian restaurant offering traditional Italian cuisine. Led by our chefs Christiaan Vena and Rene van de Berg, the restaurant offers the most authentic dishes prepared with exquisite Italian products, 5 days a week. The menu offers a variety of pastas, salads, and meat and fish dishes. Roos, Nathalie and Joanna will tend to the cosy ambience in the restaurant, and they will gladly advise you when it comes to choosing your wine and food. Pasta Pasta is open from Wednesday until Sunday, from 17:30. As from 1 April, you will also be able to enjoy lunch in this establishment.

Travel information From the airport: - A taxi from the airport takes around 20 minutes. - Or, take bus number 300 to Haarlem station, which leaves every 15 minutes from the airport. By car: - Take the A9 motorway (Amsterdam for Alkmaar). - Exit for Haarlem (N200 Rottepolderplein) at the roundabout and follow signs for Haarlem. - On entering Haarlem you will see a small city tower. At the traffic lights turn right turn and at the next traffic lights left. - Continue, cross a bridge and turn left. - Drive along the river until you find "De Appelaar" car park (after about a kilometre) on Spaarne street. From Haarlem station: - Walk towards the big church, straight through the Kruisweg or the Jansweg. The hotel is behind the church.
Area information Haarlem offers many different sights and interesting places to visit. In the vicinity of the hotel you will be able to find many diferent museums and places of interest. The Frans Hals Museum, the Corry Ten Boom house, and the Teylers Museum (the oldest museum in the country) are all in walking distance from the hotel. Also the many different Hofjes are a pleasure to visit on a nice day. If shopping is your thing, Haarlem is also a great destination. Haarlem has been chosen Best Shopping City in the country and you will be able to spend as much or as little as you like in all the different shops. Haarlem is also the perfect starting location for many different excursions. The Kennemerduinen National Park is just a short bus or bicylcle ride away, and also the beach (Zandvoort / Bloemendaal) is just around the corner. If you want to be in the middle of all the hustle and bustle of the major cities Amsterdam, the Hague and Utrecht are all perfectly accesible from Haarlem Central Station. .
