Futhermore, the hotel has a lift*. All Dutch safety standards are more than adequately complied with. * one steep climb to lounge, lift starts from this floor. The Hotel has a cosy, Old-Dutch-style lounge. The lounge interior breathes an air of warmth and hospitality. This lounge is an ideal place to relax after a day full of activity in and around Haarlem. Hotel Amadeus serves a complete breakfast. You can also make use of the restaurant, which is located in the same building. Area information The city of Haarlem is more than 750 years old. It is a very lively town, within a stone's throw of the cities Amsterdam and Zandvoort on Sea -a popular seaside resort. Haarlem is known for its many sites and sights. Including the Frans Hals Museum, Teylers Museum, the Grote Kerk (Great Church -formerly St. Bavo's Cathedral), The Stadhuis (City Hall) and the Vleeshal (Butcher's Hall). The city's center provides excellent shopping oppurtunities. You will find numerous exclusive shops as well as boutiques and department stores. If you are particularly interested in books an antiques then browse around in one of the many specialty shops. In addition, Haarlem features an attractive night life as well as pavement café's where you can sit and watch the crowd. The ' Haarlem experience' can best be enjoyed right in the heart of the city. In other words: in Hotel Amadeus. A friendly and hospitable hotel, where you will enjoy the first class personal service from the owner himself. Travel information Parking in the Centre The magnificent city centre of Haarlem was built long before cars were invented. Consequently there is very little parking space in the narrow city centre streets. There are no longer any free parking places in the centre of Haarlem. The Zuidtangent is a connection between Haarlem and Schiphol Airport Plaza. The Zuidtangent is a free lane for buses only. Because of that, the bus rides will go fast and according to plan (every 10 minutes). Busstop within 100 metres from hotel.
