Food & Beverages

Our restaurant offers traditional French and English meals and has a varied selection of hot and cold snacks. During the day you can get meals at the bar. Please note that our restaurant is closed on Sundays. During some Saturdays there are dance evenings at the Lakeside restaurant. Recent music groups were The Supremes, The Searchers, Ben E King and Boney M. There is a formal dinner with dress code every Wednesday. Please note that jeans and sportive clothes are not allowed on those days. Guests who do not wish to wear dress code can have dinner at our bar.

Payment Information: Payment will be required on arrival for guests who do not offer a valid credit card for pre-authorisation. Guests paying by cash or debit card will be required to pay on arrival.

Area information The Inn on the Lake is set close to the heart of Medway and maritime Kent, with attractions including historic Rochester with its castle, cathedral and Dickens Museum. Other sites of interest in Medway include the World Naval Base, Fort Amhurst and the Royal Engineers Museum. Other places of interest include Bluewater Shopping Centre, Leeds Castle and Canterbury. The hotel is ideal as a base for exploring both Kent and London, and makes an ideal stopover for coaches heading to and from Europe. Travel information By Car From the M25: - Exit at junction 2, and take the A2 towards Canterbury. - We are 8 miles from this point, approximately 2 miles past the Gravesend (A227) exit. - The exit is signposted 'Thong, Chalk and Inn on the Lake' (it is 200 metres past the Little Chef/Esso garage). - We are then immediately in front of you. From Dover and the M2: - As you cross the River Medway and approach the steep hill, take the second exit signposted Cobham, Shorne and Hotel. - At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit signposted Inn on the Lake. - This road will lead you to the bridge over the A2. Then, turn right and we are straight ahead.

All children are welcome. All children under 1 year stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years are charged GBP 20.00 per night and person for cots. All older children or adults are charged GBP 20.00 per night and person for extra beds. Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
