Address Sonnenstr. 12 94481 Grafenau		Travel information From the north: Frankfurt-Nuremberg-Regensburg-Passau: take the A3 motorway exit at Hengersberg, then the B533 directly to Grafenau (approx. 1/2 hour from motorway). Then follow the signs for the hotel. From the south: Passau-Regensburg: take the A3 motorway exit at Hengersberg, from then the B533 directly to Grafenau (approx. 1/2 hour from motorway). Then follow the signs for the hotel. From the west: from Munich: A92 towards Deggendorf, further along the A3 motorway towards Passau, exit at Hengersberg, and then the B533 directly to Grafenau (approx. 1/2 hour from motorway). Then follow the signs for the hotel. In Grafenau: On the B533, head for "Grafenau Zentrum", taking the 2nd roundabout exit, turn left at the junction for approx. 500 metres and then go straight uphill towards the hotel. By train: The hotel is happy to pick you up in the hotel minibus from the Plattling or Passau intercity railway stations (costing €60 for up to 8 passengers). Simply notify the hotel of your arrival time in advance. The hotel will pick you up for free from the local Grafenau railway station, just 700 metres away. By plane: The hotel minibus can also pick you up from Munich Airport for €180 (for up to 8 passengers) The journey time by road is 1½ hours. Kindly let the hotel know your arrival time in advance.
Area information The Sonnenhof Grafenau enjoys a central position and good transport links. The cities of Passau, Deggendorf and Freyung are each 40 km away. Highlights in the local area include the Lusen and Arber mountains, and the museum village in the Bavarian Forest, which shows how local farmers lived between the 17th and 19th centuries. Further attractions include the Celtic village of Gabreta, the Freiherr von Poschinger glass manufacturers in Frauenau and the Wld West-themed village of Pullman City.
