After a fire in the year of 1954, very much appreciated, the building has been reconstructed in the original Black Forest style and You may still enjoy its charming ambience. Welcome in ! We are known for our outstanding hospitality service in this historical hotel of 1507. In the summertime You will love to enjoy a good glass of wine on our garden terrace under the old "Engel-Linde", which is tree, . The 3 rooms of our restaurant with their lovely, and above all, typical Black Forest interior, are an ideal place to relax and to enjoy our regional cuisine.

Rooms

Enjoy the ambiance of our cosy guestrooms. You have the choice between a rural Black Forest style with hand-painted furniture or our new romantic guestrooms in a modern and classic style (new since 2006). All rooms have a bathroom with shower/ WC, satellite-TV, internet-access and balcony. We offer different categories depending of size, bathroom and location. The large corner rooms have an excellent view over the wine yards or the "Kandel" mountain.

Since 2006 we, Isabelle Linder and Michael Mannel, are leading this typical Black-Forest Hotel. As our parents did for the last 40 years and we continue the tradition of an excellent hospitality service. After a 3month-period of renovations our "Goldener Engel" is "back and beautiful"- we offer you new and renovated guestrooms.Enjoy our outstanding cuisine, the cosy ambiance, the lovely smile of our crew members as well as the charming atmosphere of a family run Black Forest hotel.

Our kitchen team is leaded by Michael Mannel and offers You not only regional specialities of Baden but also a modern, trendy and creative cuisine. Our menu is dominated by seasonal influences. We mostly use regional, selected products coming from the farmers nearby. The 3 rooms of our restaurant offer a warm ambience. They are furnished in an original Black Forest style. In the summertime You will love to have a good glass of wine on our garden terrace in the evening....

Area information Our hotel is situated in heart of the wine village of Glottertal in the Black Forest. The wine yards are just a few steps away. The wine of Glottertal is of good quality because of our mild climatic conditions. Take a breath of fresh air, smell the Black Forest and relax with the silent noise of the small Glotter river... The village of Glottertal is not far away from the highway A 5 and the exhibition centre (10 minutes), the city centre of Freiburg and the panoramic route of the Black Forest (15 minutes), only 30 minutes from the Kaiserstuhl mountains and the Europa park Rust (attraction park and resort) and 45 minutes from the Alsace and the city of Basel Travel information The best way to get to us is by car: Coming from the highway A 5 Karlsruhe-Basel take the exit Freiburg-Nord/Glottertal, make a left, go on for about 4km's, take the B 294 in direction of Emmendingen/ Waldkirch, after 3km's stay on the right lane into direction Waldkirch/ Glottertal, after 2km's take the exit Glottertal. Our hotel is situated at the left hand side in the centre of Glottertal. Welcome in !

If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later, 80 percent of the first night will be charged. In case of no-show, 80 percent of all nights will be charged.

VAT is included. Service charge is included. EUR 1.20 city/tourist tax per person per night is not included.

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome. All children under 6 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years are charged EUR 5.00 per night and person for cots.
