Restaurant & conservatory You can dine in style in the restaurant, where you’ll enjoy various seasonal and fish specialities in an intimate setting. The extensive menu changes regularly and a daily special is served. Of course we can recommend a suitable wine. The Restaurant is open daily. On beautiful summer days, you can also relax on our spacious water-front terrace. TIP: Our restaurant, conservatory and terrace (weather permitting) are open daily. However, we advise that you reserve a table, particularly on summer weekends. Hotel guests can reserve a table when booking a hotel room.

Area information The small village of Giethoorn is located in the North of Overijssel, in the centre of De Wieden nature reserve and close to De Weerribben National Park. Visitors often remark that “it looks like a fairytale”. The charming village of Giethoorn is characterised by its many canals, quaint high bridges and farmhouses with thatched roofs. In combination with the natural beauty of the area, this picturesque entourage has earned the nickname “The Green Venice”. Giethoorn has everything to offer for the young and old - abundant tranquillity and nature as well as (water) sports fun. Cycling, punting, whisper boating, canoeing, skating trips... Various bicycle routes, from short to long trips, are ready for you, with our hotel as the starting point. Giethoorn still has two wharfs where the original Giethoorn punters and other flat-bottomed boats are built. There is also the ‘fluisterboot’: an open boat with an environmentally-friendly silent electric motor that is easy to operate. In the winter (weather permitting), Giethoorn/ De Wieden nature reserve and De Weerribben National Park form one of the Netherlands’ most beautiful skating areas with magnificent tours, including the classic Dutch Venice tour. Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 31 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled up to 14 days before date of arrival, 15 percent of all nights will be charged. If cancelled up to 7 days before date of arrival, 35 percent of all nights will be charged. If cancelled up to 3 days before date of arrival, 60 percent of all nights will be charged. If cancelled up to 1 day before date of arrival, 85 percent of all nights will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

No deposit will be charged.

VAT is included. Service charge is included. EUR 1.00 city/tourist tax per room per night is not included.

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate.
