Today, this charming hotel with 32 rooms only is run personally by the Borgeat-Granges family, offering luxury yet unpretentious accommodation and excellent dining. Guests will sleep within walls steeped in history, close beside the adjoining St. Pierre Cathedral. Les Armures is a city landmark and Geneva oldest cafe, a popular spot among locals and a compulsory stop for visitors. The restaurant serves a classic French gourmet cuisine while in the cellar; the Carnotzet offers cheese specialities including raclette and fondue. Les Armures has been a magnet for foreign dignitaries wishing to discover the true soul of this otherwise international city and Les Armures has welcome such famous guests as presidents Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter and John F. Kennedy.

Area information "Les Armures" is obviously ideally located to discover the treasures of the Old Town and its picturesque pedestrian street lined by Mediaeval and Renaissance buildings. Yet it is within a 10 minutes walk from the shopping district, the lakefront promenade, the "Saint Peter's Cathedral" and the main museums (open on Sunday). Travel information Car access to the Old Town is available until 8pm. If you are expecting to arrive at the hotel late at night, the Concierge can email you an official pass allowing you to drive into the Old Town at night.
