With its newly installed VI Spring Mattresses, which are unique in Ireland to the Galway Bay Hotel, a great night's rest is assured. VI Spring Mattresses are hand-made and have been styled exactly to the hotel's specifications. They are regarded as the benchmark of quality against which all other brands are judged. In production, only the finest of natural materials are used to create a sleeping surface which is breathable, healthier, safer and more sumptuous. Smoking or non-smoking rooms on request, subject to availability.

The conservatory, overlooking Galway Bay, leads onto the roof top garden, where you can relax and watch the world go by. The hotel takes care of younger guests as they make new friends in the fully supervised Penguin Kids Activity Camp while adults can relax and unwind. Kids Camp runs throughout the months of July and August, Bank Holiday Weekends and all School Holidays and allows parents to enjoy the fabulous hotel surrounds while the kids enjoy the Camp. Activities which kids will partake in include football, basketball, treasure hunts, quizzes, art & crafts and much much more.

Food & Beverages

Galway Bay Hotel has an expanding list of achievements such as “Best Dinner in Ireland 2007” which truly underwrites the significant and continuous feedback received in the hotel and confirms the highest standards of food and service that the hotel has built up over the years. The Lobster Pot Restaurant enjoys magnificent views of Galway Bay from 3 perspectives, which enhances the restaurant's light and tranquil character. The style of cuisine is modern with a strong emphasis on fresh Irish produce and a particular focus on fresh fish and lobster from the lobster tank, complemented by a fine wine cellar. Vegetarian options are available on all menus. All cuisine in the hotel is overseen by Robert Bell, the Executive Chef, who has received many awards over the years for his culinary achievements, most recently including Catering Manager of the Year at the Irish Hospitality Awards in November 2006. An Scadan Caoc (Herring Choker) is a lively Traditional Irish Pub in every sense of the word, where a warm welcome awaits you. The lounge just off the Scadan Caoc offers a more subdued domain in which to enjoy an evening drink whilst overlooking Galway Bay. Every weekend, the bar features the best in local traditional Irish music. Here, the warm friendly atmosphere is complemented by the perfect pint.

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 3 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All children from 4 to 12 years are charged EUR 40.00 per night and person for extra beds.  All children from 13 to 16 years are charged EUR 55.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
