Hotel Seerose is based right in front of the Fuschllake and in 2 minutes distant from the local centre where you find pharmacies, shops and cafe`s. Every hour there are transportation possibilities by public buses for direction to Salzburg and surrounding lakes.
A leisurely walking path leads you around the lake, biking is prohibited because the path is simply too narrow. The walk around the lake will take approximately 3 hours, those who go Nordic walking around the lake or jog, will be somewhat quicker. Even if the weather is not so great this interesting walk, which starts right on the hotel's doorstep, is well worth the effort.
There are various public beaches dotted around the lake and here you will find plenty of room to enjoy all sorts of sports, not just swimming. A football, frisbee, badminton and beach tennis rackets should be included on your list of things to bring on holiday. Squash, horse riding, fishing climbing, mountain biking, trekking and cycling are all possible in the area, not to forget the summer toboggan run and children's play grounds.
For motorbike enthusiasts, or drivers of old timers or convertibles the Hotel Mohrenwirt is the ideal starting point for day trips on winding and romantic country roads, through beautiful landscapes which are part of UNESCO's Cultural Heritage of the World. St. Gilgen, St. Wolfgang, Bad Ischl and Hallstatt are just a few of the well-known villages surrounding Fuschl am See.
