Area information Frasdorf is located at the foot of the western Chiemgau mountains, just a few minutes from Prien, the lake Chiemsee (including the fairytale castle of King Ludwig II) and Mount Wendelstein within the Inn Valley. The district of Rosenheim borders the Tyrol and is renowned for being one of the most hiker- and biker-friendly regions of Bavaria. Further popular day trip destinations are the peaks of Kampenwand and Hochries, and the cities of Salzburg and Munich. Distances: Prien by lake Chiemsee: 10 km Reit im Winkel: 35 km Munich: 75 km Salzburg: 75 km Munich’s new exhibition grounds: 95 km Austria - Kufstein: 30 km Innsbruck: 100 km Travel information Arriving by car: Take the A8 motorway from Munich to Salzburg and exit at Frasdorf (no. 105). Continue to the centre of the village. Just past the church you come to a junction with a pedestrian crossing with traffic lights, where you should turn right. After about 200 metres you will see a post office, the Raiffeisen bank and a yellow telephone box on the right-hand side. The guesthouse is located just after these on the right. Arriving by rail: Travel to either Rosenheim or Prien station. From here, you can reach us by either a bus or taxi, or you can contact us regarding transport.
