Travel information

Closest Airport: Perugia S. Egidio. A shuttle bus available upon reservation. Closest Train Station: Foligno, from which the hotel is just 100 metres away. By Bus: The bus stop is in front of the train station (see above). By Car: From Rome: - Take the pay-toll A1. - Drive North towards Florence (Firenze). - Exit at Orte and continue on the SS 3 Flaminia and exit at Foligno Sud – S. Eraclio and follow for Foligno centre train station. From the north: - Take the pay toll A1 in towards Rome. - Exit on the E45 at Valdichiana and continue towards Perugia then follow directions for Foligno – Nord. - Follow directions for Centre, Porta Romana and train station.

Area information

Villa dei Platani is located in Foligno, the most important commercial and industrial centre in Valle Umbra today. Filled with medieval architectural treasures, the town is also recorded in the 1st printed edition of Dante’s Divine Comedy in 1472, and in a renowned painting school of the 15th century. The origins of this ancient town actually date back to pre-Roman times, probably as early as 8 centuries before Christ. Within easy reach, from 5 minutes to one hour from the hotel, there are countless picturesque ancient towns and memorable Umbrian destinations. The city of Perugia is less than 40 minutes away.
