It was originally one of Sweden's first liquor stores and opened as a hotel in 1985. The cross-country skiing arena Lugnet, highly regarded, the home of famous Swedish painter Carl Larsson, the Dalhalla outdoor theatre, 2 skiing centres and several golf courses are also located nearby. Lake Runn is great for swimming, and above all, fishing and long distance skating.

All children are welcome.  All children under 7 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years are charged SEK 150.00 per night and person for cots.  All older children or adults are charged SEK 250.00 per night and person for extra beds.  All children from 0 to 15 years are charged SEK 150.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 2.  Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1.
