This hotel, very much appreciated, with a personal ambience, is a refurbished Art Nouveau mansion with affectionately furnished rooms in a country house style. Our hotel is located in close proximity to the Essen exhibition centre, valued throughout, close to the hospitals and the museum centre. In addition, and above all, you will find a small restaurant with constantly changing specialities, as well as a maritime pub.

Area information Our hotel is located in close proximity to the Essen exhibition centre, the university hospital and the olympic base, and is 20 kilometres away from the Düsseldorf exhibition centre. Some of the cultural sights nearby include: - Museum "Folkwang" - "Villa Hügel" - Opera house - Various theatres and cabaret shows - Colosseum with constantly changing events - Philharmonic A sauna decorated in a Japanese style is located 7 minutes away from the hotel. Day trip destinations include the lake Baldeneysee, Essen-Werden, Zeche Zollverein (coal mine industrial complex) and the Grugapark with the “Kur vor Ort” – one of the Rhine's most beautiful pieces of landscape archicture and just 500 metres from the hotel. Travel information Arrival by car - 20 minutes from Düsseldorf-Essen on the A3/A52. Coming from Düsseldorf, take exit 28 Essen for Rüttenscheid and turn left. The hotel is one kilometre on the left side. From A40, exit Essen-Zentrum. Take the A23 left on the B224 in direction of Solingen (Messe Gruga). After about 1.5 kilometres on the right side, turn into the Moorenstrasse. Arrival by train - From Düsseldorf main station to Essen main station. 20 minutes from here by underground lines U-11 and 107. Get off at the stops for Martinstrasse or Messe-Gruga-Ost.
