Rooms

We have 144 modern air-conditioned rooms with shower / WC, phone, wake-up call and satellite TV. The hotel has one room that is suitable for disabled persons and can be reserved, on request and if available. There are smoking and non-smoking floors. Room service is not available. The hotel has single and double rooms. There are no family rooms or triple rooms. All rooms can be used by 1 to 2 persons, as 119 rooms are equipped with King-size beds. 25 rooms are equipped with separate beds and can be booked upon request (if available), since there is limited availability.

Hotel details

The 2-star hotel is located 200 meters from the Essen central station. The city centre is also in the vicinity and can be reached on foot in about 3 minutes. You can walk to the Collosseum theatre in approximately 15 minutes. The UNESCO world cultural heritage site Zeche Zollverein can easily be reached with public transport or with your own car. The Essen/ Gruga fair is approximately 5 km away and is easily reached in 15 minutes. The hotel has its own in-house parking space. The 144 rooms are subdivided into non-smoking and smoking floors. Our hotel has its own hotel bar, where our guests can get drinks and snacks 24 hours a day. The reception is staffed around the clock. We are ISO certified, which means that you can expect quality from our hotel chain.

Food & Beverages

The in-house hotel bar offers warm snacks and drinks 24 hours per day. We also offer a vending machine with soft drinks and beer available to our guests in the lobby. Breakfast is served during weekdays from 06:30AM to 10:00AM and on weekends till 11:00AM. We serve an extensive breakfast refreshment bar with different kinds of sausages and cheeses, fruit, a beautiful assortment of fresh breads and bread rolls, jams, juice, 3 different types of hot drinks and more! We also serve a small and tasty breakfast for early birds and late-risers from 04:00AM to 06:30AM and from 10:00AM to noon. We charge EUR 4.50 per day / per child for breakfast.

Between 27 November 2007 and 29 February 2008 we will be renovating the dining area, the lobby, the reception and the hotel bar. During this time we will not be able to offer the above services, including the breakfast buffet and hotel bar.

Internet

Wireless Internet Hotspot is available in the hotel rooms only and costs EUR 7.00 per hour. 

Parking

Public parking is possible on site and costs EUR 7.00 per day.

Pets are allowed. Charges may be applicable.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 18:00 on the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

VAT is included.  Service charge is included.  City/tourist tax is included. 

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast is not included and costs EUR 9.50 per person. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 12 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  There is no capacity for extra beds in the room.  Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1.
