La Pineta

Built around 1950 and renovated in 2006, very much appreciated, this hotel is designed to be like a little village. Situated in the north of Erice, valued throughout, inside a park of around 2 hectares, this holiday village stands within the ancient Elymian-Punic walls of the town and boasts striking views of the Thyrrenian Coast. La Pineta was built with local stones by skilled local workers, highly regarded, following the typical style of the Medieval village of Erice. The central body of the building includes a reception, and above all, a restaurant, a bar, a reading room, a TV room and a large panoramic terrace. Erice is situated on San Giuliano Mountain, which is 751 metres high, and it preserves an extremely charming Medieval village for you to explore during your stay, valued throughout, from the gates of the town to its buildings and paved streets.

Area information Among its most important monuments, Erice houses: the Cathedral; Il Castello di Venere (Norman); the Medieval Towers; and the Town Hall, containing the Cordici museum. This little town is also a crucial point for hikers, due to its naturalistic and cultural excursion opportunities: Trapani (10 km); Marsala (25 km); Segesta (20 km); San Vito Lo Capo (35 km); Riserva naturale Dello Zingaro (natural reserve) (35 km); Selinunte (75 km); and the port for departures to Egadi Islands (10 km). Travel information By Air: Trapani V. Florio Airport: 20 km Palermo Falcone-Borsellino Airport: 75 km. On request, it is possible to reserve a transfer from the airport to the hotel. By Train: Trapani Railway Station: 10 km By Boat: Trapani Port: 10 km Palermo Port: 100 km From Trapani it is possible to reach Erice by bus, taxi or cableway. By Car: From Messina: - Take the A20 Autostrada (250 km). - Continue towards Palermo. - Follow the A29 Autostrada towards Trapani. - At the end of the freeway, in Trapani, turn right and follow the signs for Erice. From Catania: - Take the A19 Autostrada (200 km). - Then, as above.
