As a town known for its richness in history and tradition, Ennis dates back to the 13th century, when it was originally settled around the site of a Francisan Friary. With the Friary's magnificent ruins still at its centre, the town exists today as a thriving market town known for its narrow, winding streets and colourful shop fronts and pubs. Ennis is the ideal location to experience and explore the Cliffs of Moher, The Burren and Bunratty Folk Park. Situated next door to the famous Black and White Pub of the Year 'Cruises Pub and Restaurant', our hotel has been established for over 100 years and having earned its reference in James Joyce's 'Ulysses' as 'delightful', the Queen's Hotel provides every modern facility whilst preserving its Old World charm and atmosphere.
