We have sourced tweeds from select Scottish estates and adopted a contemporary style to create timeless furnishings. By providing state of the art technology, discreetly situated, we ensure that you not only have facilities from the office or from home, but also experience an ambience, which is calm and undisturbed. In-room facilities include: DVD player, 28 inch Television with high speed internet access, Printer, Modem point, Wireless Internet Access, Telephone with Voicemail, Edinburgh Monopoly Game Table, Trouser Press, Iron and Ironing Board, Mini-bar, Coffee Machines and Privacy Hatches. Deluxe rooms offer a selection of Twin, Queen and King beds, spacious accommodation (average size 34 square metres), with a range of views from our light-well to Calton Hill, Princes Street with the Scott Monument and Gardens and the Old Town of Edinburgh.

Food & Beverages

North Bridge Brasserie, open all day, where the architecture alone is stunning from the original marble pillars and oak panelling to the contemporary steel and glass bar and staircase. Framing the room is a gallery of small tables, allowing you to spy on the world, whilst enjoying an intimate meal. The cuisine is as varied as the décor, choose from Noodles with Tiger Prawns, Coconut, Chilli & Lime, Potato Gnocchi Mushrooms, Parmesan & Garlic Croutons or Sea Scallops in Pancetta with Pea Puree to name but a few. Vermilion is our two rosettes stylish and sophisticated restaurant at The Scotsman. Beth McTaggart and her team offer a very friendly, yet polished service, whilst Chris Smart works busily behind the scenes creating some of the very best food in Edinburgh, using the finest ingredients from Scotland and beyond. Wine is also an important feature with over 100 bins to complement the menu. Cream leather sofas in the bar area are the ideal spot to enjoy a glass of fizz prior to dinner, whilst inside the restaurant, bronze fronted cabinets sparkle with the reflection of candlelight to create the perfect setting for a relaxing and enjoyable evening. Vermilion is open from 7:00 pm – Wednesday to Sunday.
