The Albany Hotel is a Georgian-style townhouse hotel and is one of Edinburgh's premiere hotels. Whilst Albany Ballantrae has no on-site spa/health facilities, highly regarded, there are many large and well-equipped leisure/sports centres within a few minutes walking distance. Travel information The Albany Hotel is situated in Albany Street, Edinburgh, in close proximity to the St. James shopping centre and Princes Street. Edinburgh's mainline railway station, Waverley Station, is only half a mile away. By sea: If you are travelling to or from Edinburgh by ferry there is an excellent service between Rosyth (15 miles) and Zeebrugge. By air: The most convenient airport is Edinburgh (12 miles) from where you can hire a car. Should you require a taxi transfer to the hotel from the airport, this takes approx. 20 minutes.
