Converted to a hotel from a historic Victorian Maternity Hospital during 1998, very much appreciated, the building offers an excellent combination of the old and the new with a choice of 52 highley equipped and generously proportioned modern bedrooms. Edinburgh's world-famous Princess Street, valued throughout, Royal Mile and most major vistor attractions are all a short walk away while the city's financial district and the Edinburgh International Conference Centre are also nearby.

Hotel details

Built in 1879, the privately owned hotel was original Memorial Maternity Hospital dedicated to Sir James Young Simpson, discoverer of Chloroform. The splendid building has been restored and transformed into a modern hotel with 52 spacious, tastefully furnished bedrooms.
