Area information Eastbourne is known as the "Sunshine Coast" due to its exceptional climate records. The promenade stretches for five miles from Beachy Head to Sovereign Harbour Marina. Enjoy a walk through the Italian Gardens, along the Carpet Gardens and 1930's Bandstand. Eastbourne is proud of its Blue Flag Award which recognises litter free beaches, clean water and brilliant facilities. There is plenty of places to take the children; Fort Fun Family Fun Park, Treasure Island Adventure Park, Minature Railway Adventure Park etc. A wide choice of shops, restaurants, cafes and bars can be found in and around the town centre. Throughout the year Eastbourne hosts many events from International Ladies Tennis Championships, Airbourne, Classic Car Rally etc. The four main theatres offer top entertainment.
