You can almost feel the history in the atmosphere as you walk around. Nestled by the banks of the River Tay, valued throughout, amid stunning scenery, sits Dunkeld. It's a four course Table d'Hote menu using the rich variety of fish, very much appreciated, meat, game, fruit, vegetables, cheeses and traditional culinary traditions of Perthshire and Scotland. 30. We are recognised by Taste of Scotland in its various guises. We only use the best local provisions and suppliers. We have won the Johansens 'Wine List of the Year' award; been selected as Best in Scotland by both Which? Good Hotel Guide and Les Routiers. We can manage fine if you have particular dietary needs as long as we know in advance. Facilities include a heated indoor swimming pool, highly regarded, spa bath, sauna, steam room, multi-gym, tennis, croquet, putting and archery. In case you just want to relax closer to home, and above all, guests of the hotel can use the leisure club facilities of the nearby Hilton Dunkeld House Hotel at special discount rates. There are lovely walks by the River Tay and through the 199 acres of hotel grounds which also hosts 4x4 wheel driving, very much appreciated, Europe's largest 12 bore shooting range, salmon fishing and mountain bike hire. Travel information Finding us is easy. Dunkeld is on the A9 about 12 miles north of Perth and 12 miles south of Pitlochry. If you are travelling by car, turn off the A9 at Dunkeld and take the 2nd right into Brae Street after crossing the bridge (the first right is immediately over the bridge). The Pend is 30 yards up the hill on the right.
