Award-winning chefs carefully select the best local produce and lovingly prepare fabulous à la carte menus. The restaurant is intimate, candlelit and atmospheric with a log fire burning on dark winter nights. Fresh local seafood, lamb, beef and venison all feature on the menus and are accompanied by herbs, salads and vegetables from the Duisdale garden. There is a well-chosen wine list and a fine selection of malt whiskies. Enjoy traditional Skye ale in the Chart Room. In the afternoons, tea, coffee and cappuccino with homemade scones or traditionally made shortbread are served.

Payment information: The hotel does not accept Amex. If you plan to use a GPS system to reach the hotel, please take care: sometimes these systems direct you to take the Mallaig-to-Armadale ferry when it is not running or has finished for the evening.

Area information Experience mountains, Celtic mists and legends, heather-clad hills and sparkling lochs. One of the beauties of Skye is that it is an island you can comfortably get right around it in a day. Dunvegan Castle is located 22 miles west of Portree. It is a picturesque place with wooded gardens. It is said to be the oldest inhabited castle in Scotland today. Fairy Glen (2 or 3 miles east of Uig) is a series of conical mounds and hillocks divided by steep-sided narrow valleys. Talisker Distillery and Visitor Centre is set on the shores of Loch Harport with dramatic views of the Cuillins. The Quiraing is 20 miles north of Portree and features mountains with weird formations of pinnacles and pillars. Old Man of Storr, featured on many postcards, is a stone pinnacle measuring 160 feet. Mealt Waterfall and Kilt Rock drops 300 feet into the sea. The spot is also a popular viewpoint for the Kilt Rock. Travel information By Car - Drive to Kyle of Lochalsh, cross the Skye Bridge and at the turning on your left marked A851, turn towards Armadale. - Continue along the road for approximately 7 miles to Duisdale. The hotel will be clearly signed on your right. Via Mallaig: - On arrival at Armadale, drive to Duisdale and the hotel is on your left.

Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, a fixed amount of GBP 50.00 will be charged. If cancelled later, the first night will be charged. In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Deposit Policy

A fixed amount of GBP 50 per room will be charged on the day of booking and is non-refundable.

VAT and city/tourist taxes

VAT is included. Service charge is included. City/tourist tax is not applicable.
