Hotel details

The Hawthorns was built in 1873 by the Duke of Montrose to attract a doctor to the village of Drymen, and for over 120 years it was home to 4 successive general practitioners. The property has been extensively restored in recent years to convert the 'auld doctor's hoose' into a beautiful bed and breakfast.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 3 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

A fixed amount of GBP 20 per room will be charged on the day of booking and is non-refundable. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

15 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Full English breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 5 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1.
