Foxglove Cottages are enviably situated on the West Highland Way and within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. The village of Drymen, gateway to the Eastern shores of Loch Lomond, is only 0.5 miles away (10 minutes’ walk). Here, and in the surrounding small villages you will find country inns, restaurants, food takeaway outlets, banks, tourist information, shops and services.
We are situated close to major travel routes. Unlike some places, you will not have miles of minor roads to negotiate every time you want to go somewhere, nor will you experience heavy traffic hurtling passed on the road outside.
There are numerous outdoor activities in the area: bird watching (foxglove swallows), walking, horse riding, golf, climbing, cycling (there are bikes for residents’ use), sailing, fishing, archery, action activities, and some wonderful dark skies for star gazing.
Situated centrally, we are only 30 minutes by car from Glasgow or Stirling. From Edinburgh, St Andrews, Perth, Linlithgow and Dundee, allow an hour travelling by car.
Please call the number on your booking confirmation form when you are 30 minutes away so we may personally greet you and welcome you to Foxglove Cottages.
