All Mount Pleasant’s bedrooms are spacious, tastefully decorated and furnished to the highest specification, with our guests' comfort in mind. All bedrooms have at least a double bed in them. Some have queen-size beds, and some even have king-size beds. Many will convert into twin single beds.
The standard bedrooms all have a double bed, en suite bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities, a desk or dressing table, hairdryer, wardrobe, trouser press, iron and ironing board and comfortable chair. Every room in the hotel receives free wireless broadband internet access and free satellite TV including all 3 Sky Sports channels, Sky News, CNN, The Hits, and CBBC to name a few.
The executive bedrooms are the next step up from the standard bedrooms. All have a double bed, en suite bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities, a desk or dressing table, hairdryer, wardrobe, trouser press, iron and ironing board. They are more spacious than the standard bedrooms, having enough space in them for at least a settee. Some rooms even have feature beds in them, such as a four-poster and a ‘mud bed’.
The deluxe executive bedrooms are more spacious than the executive bedrooms, having enough space in them for at least a 2- or 3-seater settee. Some rooms have space for a settee and a comfortable chair, without crowding the room. The bathrooms in deluxe executive rooms are much more spacious. All have a separate walk-in shower as well as a bath.
The junior suites are the ‘top of the range’ bedrooms. All have a double bed, en suite bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, built-in wardrobe, trouser press, iron and ironing board. They differ from all the other bedrooms not just because of their size, but because of the opulence of their décor. These bedrooms are by far our most spacious, having enough space in them for a clearly defined lounge area, comprising 3-seater settee or sofa bed, partners desk with hardwired broadband access, television and coffee table. These rooms also have a digital safe in the wardrobes. The bathrooms again are very spacious, all have a separate walk-in shower as well as a bath. Some have a jacuzzi bath. All the bathrooms are fitted with ambient night lights, a blue light that remains on and emits enough light at night that you don’t have to wake your partner. Over one-3rd of the bedrooms are junior suites, showing clearly the emphasis on quality at Mount Pleasant Hotel. Junior suites also receive complimentary mineral water in the room each night.
The suites stand apart from the rest of our rooms, and probably from any other room you will find in the north of England, offering unrivalled size and quality. All have a substantial sized bedroom, larger than normal bathroom and a separate lounge area. 2 of the suites also have a kitchenette comprising cupboards, fridge, sink, microwave oven and large dining table with chairs. These same 2 suites are dual-function. The lounges and bedrooms have their own door to the corridor, so can be used independently of each other or opened up as one big suite. These rooms are very popular with guests who like to entertain friends or hold private meetings without having to leave the comfort of their room. As with all the suites, this room has a partners desk, digital safe, complimentary mineral water, free wireless broadband internet access, a television in both the lounge and bedroom provided with free satellite TV including all 3 Sky Sports channels, Sky News, CNN, The Hits, and CBBC to name a few.
