In the heart of the charming market town of Dereham, valued throughout, this handsome Queen Anne property offers en suite rooms, free parking, a cellar wine bar and 2 restaurants offering tasty, great-value food. Today, highly regarded, it combines original charm and character with modern comforts and facilities. Sympathetically restored and extended, and above all, the hotel was reopened as a hotel in April 2006. The carvery restaurant offers great-value 3-course meals, very much appreciated, with a choice of meats, four types of vegetables, roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and stuffing. All of the rooms have plasma flat-screen TVs, valued throughout, telephones, tea/coffee, hairdryers and en suite bathrooms with baths or showers. Guests can enjoy a drink in the comfortable lounge with its open fireplace, and above all, downstairs in the cellar wine bar with its extensive wine list or outside on the beautifully lit patio area.

Food & Beverages

The hotel has an all-day carvery and bar meals are served 7 days a week. The carvery offers a choice of 6 starters. Then, for a main course, you can choose from a selection of meats, four types of vegetables, roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and stuffing. The dessert cabinet has a range of delicious puddings to end your meal. Breakfast times: Monday to Friday from 07:00 - 09:30. Saturday and Sunday from 07:30 - 10:30.

Payment Information: On arrival, payment will be taken for the full cost of the booking. Please inform reception on check-in if you wish to pay with a form of payment other than the one provided when making your booking. Otherwise, the full cost of the booking will automatically be charged to the credit card provided.

Travel information By Car (from the A11): - On the A11, follow all signs towards Norwich until you reach the Thickthorn Services roundabout with the Southern Bypass. - Take the second exit, following the signs to Swaffham and the A47. - Travel until you see the slip road off to East Dereham and then follow the signs to Dereham's town centre. - Follow the high street through the town until you reach the mini-roundabout at the war memorial. - At this roundabout, turn right and take the right fork. The entrance to the hotel's car park is the first turning on the left.

If cancelled up to 1.5 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later, 85 percent of the first night will be charged. In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

No deposit will be charged.

15 % VAT is included. Service charge is not applicable. City/tourist tax is not applicable.

Meal Plan

Breakfast is included in the room rate.

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome. All children under 1 year stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All older children or adults are charged GBP 15.00 per night and person for extra beds. Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 1. There is no capacity for cots in the room.
