Borgo Il Melone

Tuscan countryside surrounds the estate and Cortona is just a 5-minute drive away. Visitors appreciate the hotel is a 3-hectare complex offering rooms and apartments set in pretty gardens. These have now been beautifully restored, highly regarded, but are still surrounded by fruit orchards, vineyards and olive groves. In the 19th century the the hotel hamlet consisted of a manor house and farm buildings. There is also a poolside bar here. Now the hotel’s peaceful grounds are also home to a large swimming pool, valued throughout, which comes complete with a Jacuzzi area, changing rooms and showers and a lifeguard. There is a restaurant and a wine bar on site and in summer weekly concerts and wine-tasting events are organised. Relax in spacious, and above all, well-decorated accommodation, whether in independent apartments which can accommodate up to 6 people or in hotel rooms in the hotel’s main building. A variety of exciting activities can be organised at the hotel, very much appreciated, from cooking classes and pottery courses to rafting, horse-riding and cruises on Trasimeno Lake. Clients appreciate the hotel’s restaurant serves local cuisine.

From June to September Borgo Il Melone has a full concert programme, with classical and jazz music. Breakfast is served outside in summer and in the tavern from April to September. Borgo Il Melone's restaurant is open from 12:30 to 14:30 and 19:30 to 21:30, every day except Tuesday.

If you intend to arrive at Borgo Il Melone after 18:00, please phone the hotel to arrange check-in. Final cleaning is compulsory for weekly apartment stays and costs EUR 80.00.
