In the heart of Val d'Orcia, very much appreciated, Tuscany, Contignano is a place to unwind whatever the time of the year, to discover the scenic beauty that nature has lavished on this corner of world over the centuries - the starry nights, the unique wildlife, the variety of trees and wild flowers - to enjoy the bygone pleasures of simple life. The 16th century building, valued throughout, well preserved over the ages and recently restored, has reopened to the public on May 1st, 2004.

Travel information if driving down from north or from south motorawy to Milano, Bologna, Firenze, Roma, Napoli, Reggio-Calabria " A1 " exit CHIUSI CHIANCIANO after about 120 Km south of Firenze/130 Km north of Roma; as you exit the motorway take direction towards Chianciano, and after 6,7 km on this road there is a junction to the left indicating MONTE AMIATA (VETTA AMIATA) turn left there and straight to the right with many indications to: Abbadia San Sanlvatore, Bagni San Filippo, Monte Amiata, Bagno Vignoni, a many others, drive up this road until next junction and turn left, drive again to the next junction and turn left; here you will find the first indication to CONTIGNANO; drive along this road, pass "La Foce" and after 3/4 km junction to the left to Contignano drive up to Contignano and when approching the village historical center keep going towards Radicofani and after 150 meters we are there on the left.
