Rooms

The Superior and Standard Rooms are situated in the 11th-century abbey. They are equipped with modern furniture, a bathroom with whirlpool or shower and all common facilities. The Luxury rooms are located in the old house of the Cardinale Giuliano Della Rovere, built in 1472.

Hotel details

This hotel is named after its most illustrious owner Cardinal Giuliano della Rovere, who later became Pope Giulio II, patron of artists of the calibre of Michelangelo and Raffaello. The building is the result of the careful restoration of an 11th century Benedictine Abbey and of the renaissance Villa commissioned by Giuliano della Rovere in 1470. It is surrounded by a large park which boasts of a Travertine swimming pool, from which an enchanting panorama of Colle Val d’Elsa may be enjoyed. The hotel offers ample congress areas in the noble salons of the Villa, as well an area specially set aside for more numerous events.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 3 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled or modified later, the first night will be charged.  In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

33 percent of the total amount will be charged on the day of booking and is refundable. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

VAT is included.  Service charge is included.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  One child under 2 years stays free of charge when using existing bedding.  One child from 3 to 6 years is charged EUR 45.00 per night and person in an extra bed.  One older child or adult is charged EUR 92.00 per night and person in an extra bed.  Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 1.  There is no capacity for cots in the room.
